I'm trying to find some good scary movies made after the year 2000. After 2000 only because I don't want to watch old ones that could have been considered scary in their time.

So any suggestions?

Stay away from Drag Me To Hell and any Paranormal Activity. Worst horror I've seen in years. But you really should try films pre-2000, there are tons of brilliant ones and you're really limiting yourself

I guess The Ring / Dark Water/ Shutter/the Grudge -made in USA versions since you asked post 2000 people will over debate about how original asian versions are scarier etc but again you asked for post 2000 , the REC saga , Dead Silence, Unborn, Drag me to hell (not that scary but worth your time ). After that you got Sci-fi horrors as well i strongly suggest a tour on IMDB.com
