Windows Media Player .... but download VLC for the codecs.
I find you can get better sound from WMP.

1st - KMPlayer = all codecs included and way more options for extreme fine tuning of audio and video.

2nd - VLC = all codecs included and a bunch of options but not as many as KMP.

3rd - MPC = comes with K-Lite Codec Pack or CCCP and can play all the common formats so long as the files are not corrupted in the slightest.
I disapprove of this polls without KMPlayer

I use ALShow v2.01 - built in codec's and any it doesn't have it downloads them from its own server and way more options and recognized formats than VLC and KMP, but no audio option other than volume, mute and capture. But I still like it because the GUI is sweet and doesn't look like an 80's Win 3.0 reject (VLC player)... http://www.altools.com/altools/alshow.aspx

What a silly competition. How do you ignore the other MPlayers?
Based on features, versatility and utlity I'd rate them like this
1 UMPlayer
2 VLC Media Player
3 SMPlayer
4 Media Player Classic
5 KM PLayer

This poll is for MEDIA players... not VIDEO players.
For video only and ease of use, sure VLC.
But for music too, KMP or even WMP (although I think the audio out of WMP is horrible) beat VLC hands down.

If You're going to include commercial software like Cyberlink Power DVD, you should also include the AVS Media Player which is better than most of your choices.
