Frankly, I am becoming rather annoyed by this persistent problem with some torrents. I cannot download torrents from some people, or from some places, no matter what I try. Then 2 days ago, I discovered that some people cannot download my torrents, no matter what I do to make that happen! Could this simply be a problem at their end, because their trackers are out of date? Or some other issue?

I re-loaded a torrent yesterday morning, uploaded it to a seedbox, saw that it was seeding.. and one KAT member absolutely swore he wasn't able to get it. I was less than happy about it, but I created a .rar file, uploaded it to Mediafire and gave him the link to get it. I've done that for someone else so far also.

I can't get torrents from a couple of our KAT members here, and end up begging for .rar files from them. I've updated my trackers in my utorrent client to match what is currently "good". Is anyone else having this issue? And what can be done about it to fix it so the torrent WILL download for everyone (assuming it is being seeded). Would appreciate some suggestions here.

could be they are not https and their isp sees the torrent file and blocks them from dl'ing

For what it is worth- will share a recent personal experience with this....

Was pm'd by another KAT member & they said torrent DL'd from me was stuck @ 97% or was @ 99.97% (I can't remember which it it was but they had most of it and was 'stuck') for over 4 hours and I have a seedbox !

So did the usual stop & re-starting, stopping, then forced re-check and all that and nothing got this torrent to finish

I know some fake torrents will do this but I did the encoding myself and was not an upload another did that I re-uploaded-I did everything myself so I knew was not a fake torrent

Whether or not you have a seedbox- make sure you check that the download location is correct and redo it if is still a problem even if is to same place & you have not moved it

In my situation I was asked if I wanted to "overwrite" and I clicked "yes" even though the file "already exists in this location" (the quotations are what the boxes say when I do this)

As just "playing around" and having tried everything else I know to do- I reset the download location even though I did not move it

Make sure you "stop" the seeding for the torrent you are doing this for first before doing this and of course re-start seeding (don't forget!) after you have done this

I did this and the person finally got 100% of the torrent

I did this for another torrent that was showing 0 seeds and is now showing seeds

I don't know if is just some "glitch" for me & my machine but this has worked & is worth a try if nothing else has as may work for others

And for downloaders- pm the person after checking your own connection & ports and all that if is a KAT member you are downloading from- often (or in my case anyway) unknown there is a problem with a torrent unless someone lets us / me know.

The torrent the person was downloading showed 100% seeding and no problems or errors

If I had not been pm'd, I would not have been aware there was a problem with the torrent

You don't need any trackers if you have DHT turned on.

I have been experiencing that for a few weeks now. Just can't connect to some other people for some reason and have to wait until someone I can connect to downloads the torrent. Beats me what is going on...

I've had to deal with that when downloading torrents from one of our UK uploaders, and also another in Denmark. I usually am able to get the music by pass-through from another peer.
But this week is the first time I've been unable to seed for another USA peer. It's very annoying. I even tried everything rapids22273 suggested - even resetting the download location. Nothing worked. Finally just gave up and zipped up the album in a .rar file, and gave him the link for it.
But then I uploaded the s ame album today, with the hour of music split into separate mp3s, and it seems to be seeding just great! *shrug*
