Hi, I read threads about super users and Mods etc but I didn't see any thread explaining or discussing the job of translator and discussing its duties, as i have been recently made a translator (Thanks to Mr.White), I wanted to discuss with you people about Translators here a little bit.
Translator here on kat is a person who has been given this post to translate whole kat site into his language. Like I am an urdu speaker and I also know English so, I am translating it into urdu. There are also other guys to help me. Its not that easy to gain this post. I know the hard work I have been doing here to make myself known. But its not like that you guys lose hope. To gain something you have to do work and hard work. If you think you are elligible for translation you can PM this guy who deals with translation department Mr.White or post it here on this thread Trnslators team Refresh.

I want other translators to share your experience with new comers and guide them to how to become on of us. I will suggest that you should make your self as much part of kat community as you can and make yourself known as a good user here. That will bring you alot of success

I wouldn't say it's necessarily hard to acquire the translator status. Don't forget that it can be revoked as fast as it's given.

I joined the translator team around 1.5 year ago. There was only me and another one on that language so we had a real hard job translating anything. I even translated the rules and stuff =) Have fun as translator! Don't rep abuse the movie language/subtitle tool :) Take good time going through it so you are sure they have been added correctly information.
