Personally I'm a fan of House M.D. and The Big Bang Theory, but I also like Sopranos, True Blood, Tripping The Rift and some old stuff like Lexx

Last I'd checked, there aren't very many good 'mainstream' shows anymore.
However, I did find 'Cromartie High School' an anime which is, though bizarre, wonderfully amusing.
Worth checking out.
