Windows 7 32 bits home premium is a real obstacle to my mental stability......08 July 2012, 21:44 (10 months ago)
I had XP for years and I used the Windows 7 gizmo and, even if I have a 1 core computer, I had enough speed, ram and a hard disk big enough to gladly say adios to XP and finaly "graduate" in the major leagues......Wrong!!!!!! Windows 7 was conceived by paranoids who think everyone has CIA secret files in his computer therefore their motto became: SECURITY. And this "you don't have the privileges to access this file" crap is driving me nuts!!!!!! It'S my own personnal computer that belongs to me and myself so go flock yourself with your stupid privileges!!!!!! And now, no more Facebook webchat. Over, finito, kaput, it doesn'T work! I have a Microsoft Lifecam CIname HD 720 cam and with Xp I couldn't install the software that goes with it because I don't have at least a dual core but it was working fine nevertheless. Now, I still have the same identical computer but with Windows 7, oh miracle, I can installl the software but because of that it screws up my cam connection somehow so adios Facebook. I hate their Live Essential stuff, I can't stand Messenger so I really dunno what to do and also for some unexplicqable reasom I ended up with a whole wack of trojans and diseases and it was all located in the HP stuff??!?!?! Needless to say, I need help please!
Belive it or not, I realy like Windows 7, more than XP! But I constantly have a problem here, a trouble there, etc.....Yes I have the Windows 7 Manager, I have the Windows 7 Codec pack, I quickly understood that now all the updates for every hardwares was supplied by Microsoft. To sum it up, I'm sure I make mistakes but I mean I ain't now coputer magician but I'm not a total ignorant neither but as soon as there 1 single thing that starts to go wrong, the whole OS stops funjctionning normally to slowly stop working period.......So I hope that there's someone who will be able to help me, tks in advance! Better go over to 64bit (If your computer has more than 3 gigs of ram or will have in the future)
Solving :: 1) Backup all your important files (music, video, docs and stuff) to another physical drive (maybe external) 2) Open your case and remove your primary drive.. 3) Connect it to another computer and format it.. 4) Back to its place : Reinstall Windows and the updates FIRST (unexpectedly windows security essentials is very useful and even award winning for free) 5) Install third party drivers (for ex. display drivers) 6) Install all other apps, codec packs, and games 7) Done and solved!! ![]() you can turn off all those security messages in:
Control Panel, Security, Change User Account Control Settings. For the webcam; You can skip the download/installation of the Windows Live Essentials, there is a skip button when you install the cam software. The software package for the cam seems to be a bit tricky with hidden buttons that sneak up, make sure you carefully read each screen for custom installations that might work better for you. Last edited by 7Rebel71599, 9 months ago just to give you some perspective m8....maybe you should try looking into some settings.....or uninstall some of the programs you're not using....sounds like you may have some file associations conflicting...im no wizard..but maybe worth a shot...im on an old acer w/ 1 Gig ram...running win7 ultimate without any problems at all, so long as i do only one or two things at a time....or dont open more than 4 or 5 tabs in chrome...like i said m8...dont give up, youll get to the bottom of it...good luck
Stupid BAT! So Brain Damaged I tried for Hrs. to figure out Why I couldn't use All My RAM, CPU temps high because Gimpy and Squeaky were working twice as hard. All after a Win 7 re-install. Went to install an Acer BIOS on My Sony Vaio yesterday and it wouldn't flash! OS Not Supported! Checked and found I'd installed 7-32 instead of 7-64!!!
