There are 3 basic ways you can share your content with the masses on the internet - Public Bittorrent sites, Private Bittorrent sites, and online file lockers. There are pros and cons to these services, and we'll be covering them all.

1. Let's start with Online File Lockers..

RapidShare, FilesTube, Hotfile, MediaFire - these are just a few of the online File Lockers that most people use everyday for their file storage needs. And just like every little thing in the world there are pros and cons to using these solutions.

Pros:
-On the plus side, Using the basic service (Free) on some of these services is not all that bad - most allow files to be shared as long as they are actively being downloaded and all of them have a max file size that is good for uploading small amounts of content (100MB or less, 300MB or more).

-If you have a Small collection of PDF Magazines or Sexy Photosets, this service is ideal - but there are some cons (or Course) - If you are gonna use this service for Large Vids or a large collection of vids, this is NOT the Service for you.

Cons:
-To avoid the aggressive use of internet download managers on FREE ACCOUNTS, there is a certain amount of time that has to pass between downloading files from the service - how long depends on the size of the download (the bigger, the longer). This can suck if you have big video files to share. Now the simple solution to this is to buy one of their Premium Service Packages - which allows for IDM's (Internet Download Managers and larger files, etc - but what is the point in that? You're doing this for FREE. Another issue is that If you go with a Premium Service, only people who are signed up to premium can access the link- completely defeats the purpose.

-Finally, these sites do their best not to be seen as a contributor to "Illegal File Sharing", if they get a request from someone (webmaster, douche bag, etc) to take it down, 99 times out of 100, it's coming down, and it can come without warning. DO NOT WANT.

The Only exception to all the above is Bayfiles.com - 5GB File upload, very private, and free to use. The Only caveat is if your file isn't downloaded after a certain amount of time, it's deleted (30 Days after the last time downloaded, I think).

In short, Online Storage sites are good for small content in the short run, but if you have a lot of content to share you need something more reliable - something long term, something like...

2. Public Bittorrent Sites!

Ah, yes - now we are in my real neck of the woods - Those sexy bittorrent sites are super helpful in so many ways.

Pros:
-They are FREE to use! Signing up for one is always 100% Free - you don't have to pay any money or sleep with someone - well, you could sleep with someone, but that's a personal choice.

-There is no size limit at all - it can be 50MB, 500MB, 2GB - its all good. The only limit is in your mind!

-The Public Sites don't require a Ratio to be maintained

-And your torrent will stay there. No worries about auto-deletion.

The only con I can see for uploaders is that they don't want their torrents out in the open, and want to upload their torrents privately. If you are not into using Public BitTorrent Sites, you could always go for...

3. Private Bittorrent Sites

Pros:

-Private sites DO maintain a Private Tracker, which can only be accessed by registered users. This is ideal if you are a little paranoid about using public sites.

-The Private Sites do require a ratio - you have to upload as much as you download. But if you are mostly uploading, that's not really a problem here.

Now, despite all the pros to using Private and/or Public BitTorrent sites, they both have the same con:

-Anti-Piracy/Sharing Groups yes, they are out there, and they will/are doing their best to make sure you have little or no interest in using Bittorrent sites. "They" by the way, are politicians, law enforcement, Anti-Piracy groups, etc.

Don't like the bastards get you down - when you do that, they've won.

OK, sorry about getting all passionate there - it's just something I support so much; Too much sometimes. Apart from that, I can't really see a legitimate reason not to use them.

There is one last option to consider when sharing files, but it's a touchy service:

4. Cloud Storage Services

Dropbox, Google Drive (Google), SkyDrive (Micro$oft), BOX.com and MEGA are the most popular Cloud storage sites but they all have their own shortcomings.

Dropbox Removes Torrent Files from accounts.
SkyDrive does NOT accept anything Pornographic (Prudes).
Box checks for illicit files and removes them (and their users) as needed [Dropbox and Skydrive do the same thing]
Google Drive has the most lax rules on what files are upped to the account - as long as it's not a virus or malware, they won't complain about it, but they still can access the content if they need to, or are ordered to by the courts.

Now MEGA says it can't look at the contents of accounts, but there are some security concerns that might make you reconsider. I'm actively working out a few ideas, but for right now, Steer clear from Cloud Storage for your Booty (Giggles)

Let's summarize:

For Small amounts of content, use Online File Storage sites. They are good for Short-term sharing.

For Larger amounts of content, using Public and Private BitTorrent sites and Bayfiles sites are highly recommended. Good for Short and Long-Term sharing.

Cloud Storage is basically putting your content onto servers that the owners can look at, or can be sized by the man. Until otherwise, avoid them for now - just too risky.

I hope this info helps you. And thanks in advance if I missed anything.

So, you know little to nothing about site ripping, eh ?

No worries - I'm not gonna make fun of you. We all gotta learn this stuff somehow, and I'm more than happy to help you out.

This Guide is broken into 3 parts:

Part 1 - The different types of Siterips, and what site ripping is.
Part 2 - The Good (and bad) methods of site ripping
Part 3 - The Morning After Pill (hehe)

Let's begin....

Part 1 - The different types of Siterips, and what siteripping is.

"So, What is Siteripping", you ask ?

Simple - Site Ripping is the process of Downloading a series of Photos or Videos, or sometimes both from Paysites - Mainly Adult Paysites. Porn. That Fapping material.

Now there are 2 main types of Rips, with 3 sub-types each, and they are as follows:

Partial Site-rip - A full or partial collection of either a certain model or group, etc
Sub-Types: Photo, Video, Combo (Photo & Video)

Full Site-rip - A full collection of audio, video, or both from a website
Sub-Types: Photo, Video, Combo (Photo & Video)

Simple, yes? Yeah, it is.

Now you might be wondering which one is the best to go for, Partial or Full ? To be honest - it all depends on you.

You see, either one is good and has their own purpose and need - if there are people who just want to finish their photosets of a certain model, then a partial rip is fine. Access the site, find what is needed, get the hell outta there, and share what you got....

...but, if you want to be a bad-ass Site Ripper (Like me), - then a Full Site-rip is recommended. Note: It doesn't matter WHICH full site-rip you go for (Image, Video, Both) - a full site-rip is a full site-rip.

Now, let's move on to part 2...

Part 2 - The Good (and bad) methods of Siteriping

Yes, its true - there IS a Good way and a Wrong Way to Site-rip. "Why is that", you wonder ?
Because when it comes to ripping sites, there is the way that takes a certain amount of time and is super fun - then there is the way that makes you wanna throw your PC out the damn window...

And then there's the way that makes you rant, rave and scream obscenities so loud it sounds like you're having a meltdown - I speak on experience on that one. Almost got the cops called on me that night (And that's no joke).

Let's start with the way that's super fun and exciting: The Good Method

Before I continue, I want you to know that as a site ripper, there is no wrong way to get access to a site. If you are a Password Cracker, that's fine. If you know a Password Cracker who is more than happy to crack for you, that's cool. Pay for access, borrow someone else's access, etc.... It really doesn't matter - your there to rip it and get the hell outta dodge.

Moving on - there are 3 things you want to have for a good Site Rip session, and yes, they are all Crucial:

1. A fast internet connection
2. A hard drive with a lot of space
3. Free Time to do site ripping

All 3 of these things above can lead to a very successful siterip. Depending on what you're getting and how much content there is, a fast internet connection makes it, well, fast, and a hard drive with a lot of space is more than welcome. Also, it's better to pick a time where you are not busy and have some free time on your hands - Depending on the volume of content, siteripping can become a time-consuming process, and getting interrupted on the site ripping process can be very annoying.

When you access the site, and are looking to get just photosets, remember to look for the option to Download a photoset in a ZIP file. ZIP files for photosets are a Site Ripper's Royal and Loyal friend - There is no need to worry about missing a image, or having to save each image one at a time to your HDD, then give it a name, etc.

ZIP Files are King. They are the bestest friend for siterippers. Love them with all your might.

When Downloading Videos, some sites have them in different formats. Different formats = different sizes. That's why it pays to have a large HDD - too often have I been surprised by low disk space warnings while getting large videos, or a massive collection of photos. In this case, Make sure to choose MP4 Files, if the site doesn't offer MP4, and uses either WMV, or AVI go for one of those formats, and convert them to MP4.

I can't go into the Conversion process , as that goes outside the
scope of this tutorial.

To recap thus far, it pays to :
1. have a fast internet connection
2. have a hard drive with a lot of space
3. have Free Time to do site ripping
4. Always use ZIP file Downloads for Photosets and get Various Quality Vids for sharing

Now to move on to the so-so method:

Going with ripping Videos is easy, just get what you think is best - but, sadly, when it comes to photosets, there are a few sites who don't believe in using ZIP files for photosets. Yes, it's true, there ARE websites that just don't have Zip files, or might have broken links to ZIP files. It can and does happen sometimes - it happens rarely, but its possible.

When that happens, you'll have to Save each image one at a time, Make sure you have all of the images, Compress them to zip, blah blah blah.....

Doing this is a time consuming process, but if that's what you gotta do, you gotta do it.

"But, SteRipper, why just get a internet downloader thingy?"

That's a Good question - because websites are NOT completely made by morons. Granted, Internet download accelerators SOUND like a good thing to have for site-ripping, but you'd be wrong - oh so wrong...I'm talking "1 guy 1 jar" wrong *Shrugs*

You see some sites can tell when a download accelerator is being used - those suckers can use up bandwidth quickly, and if the website keeps an eye on that, don't be too surprised if you suddenly don't have access to the site anymore. It also encourages the Site Owners to up the security of the site itself - something Site Crackers DO NOT LIKE.

Don't believe me? Try using a download accelerator on AlleyBaggett.net - no seriously, in less than 3 minutes, you'll be saying "WTF just happened ?!"

And it's gonna be a HUGE Surprise if you get access, and then decide to Set the downloader at night, then wake up in the morning to check out the results. Remember when I said there is a Method that "makes you rant, rave and scream obscenities so loud it sounds like you're having a meltdown - There it is.

Part 3 - The Morning After Pill (hehe)

Ah yes, after a long night of Lovemaking, she wants to be sure she doesn't get knocked up. So, she takes one morning after pill with a glass of water....

Wait - sorry, wrong guide.

OK - You've completed your rip. Congrats....Now what ? Well, you have two options. You can either:

1. Store your booty (giggles) on a personal backup server until you are ready to share it with others or...

2. Store your booty (giggles) on a External HDD, until you are ready to share it with others.

Either option will work, but I recommend option 2.

One thing that is paramount after a site rip is to BACK it the hell UP! Seriously, ANYTHING can go wrong with a PC, and if you don't backup your work, you WILL be crying all day. That happened to me once - I was sad all week.

If you have a backup plan - use it. Portable HDD, CD/DVD Discs, Personal Backup Server - what ever you got, use it, that's why you have it, cuz you never know. Oh, and avoid using Online File Lockers (Rapidshare, hotfile, dropbox etc) They are married to DMCA Takedowns.

So now we have reached the end of this lovely guide of mine. Let's Go over what we have learned:

1. Make your to have a fast internet connection
2. Make sure your PC has a hard drive with a lot of space
3. Always use your Free Time to do site ripping
4. Always use ZIP file Downloads for Photosets and get Various Quality Vids for sharing
5. Avoid using Internet Downloaders
6. Backup your work!
7. Avoid using Online File Lockers for storage....for now.

I hope this Guide helps you on the way to becoming a Good Site Ripper, and I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Have fun, and may the big boobies be with you.

I've always loved MP3 320.
The File sizes are much smaller than FLAC, and there are easy for me to ID tag

And I dunno why but uTorrent, no matter if I have 200 seeders or 4, is awfully slow for me so like wrong user link I use Vuze. My cpu is a single core with 1Gig of Ram (well 958 MB to be accurate) and Vuze is much faster then uTorrent on my PC. Off topic I know......I know vuze is faster because I happen to start downloading with uTorrent, stopped it after 2 minutes not understanding why with like a 100 seeders approx, I was getting a download speed between 15 and 50 k/s....I got rid of u Torrent, got Vuze installed and restart the same download from the beginning and I was getting between 600 to 800 k/s (we don't have high speed internet....) Really strange.....

Please keep to the Topic at hand. This tutorial tells you how to lock and hide uTorrent on a shared PC, so others don't mess with it.
It has nothing to do with connection issues.
