I tested freemake a while back and its conversion process took a lot longer that convertx, somewhere in an old post I think I have some opstats. Something else you can try is to use convertx to create a file that imgburn can use to create one. I've done that but don't remember the timings.

My company computer has an Intel I7. Convertx uses all 8 processors. The task manager shows that all 8 graphs are on the top.
