I too believe in "Karma" and what goes around comes around. One tiny defence for "people who vote negatively"... uhmmm, I myself have to admit that I have, when tired, clicked on the thumb down in error and been mortified to find it is non reversible (ie I repeatedly clicked thumbs up to rectify but to no avail). So maybe a small percentage of negative is errors another percent is genuine (as in the vote was appropriate, we can't claim that everything here is awesome), and that leaves the uncalled for negatives... well, we know it was inappropriate but Karma will reward them eventually.
