You must upload the .torrent file and not .avi, .mp3 .mp4 .mkv etc... if you get a "wrong file format" error then you are not uploading a torrent file and you need to make this first before you can upload. If you get the "something nasty happened" error message you should try cleaning your cache and cookies then try again. If error still occur send a PM to a moderator and he/she will help you out.
