David Cramer and Johann Schop carried the Italian violin style to Hamburg, and even after two generations the music of Heinrich Schmelzer, Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, Johann Jakob Paul Westhoff and Johann Walther still shows the impact of Farina."
