Horriblesubs isn't perfect instead SGKK and Tsuki Fansubs are perfect.Horriblesubs use Crunchyfansubs rips mainly.

how do u use a MKV file?

It's a bluray format. Update your Windows Media Player codecs, but instead I HIGHLY recommend VLC player. It plays everything, is very light, and well maintained (frequent updates). Just that you asked tells me you either 1) haven't downloaded much video before, 2)are using an old OS and have a dated video library. Google MKV and check out some converters as you may want to use them through an xbox 360 or ps3 (convert mkv to .avi)
