Better Search Engine Needed

When the number of items searched, reaches into the MILLIONS, a good search-engine is a must.
The search engine here is about the WORST we've ever seen.
It needs all 4 basic features (minimum):
1. Find an exact phrase (using quotes): "dennis miller" 2. Find all these words (in any order): miller dennis hbo
(Sometimes also written as: miller AND dennis AND hbo) 3. Find any 1 (or more of these words): miller or dennis or hbo
(Sometimes also written as: miller OR dennis OR hbo)
(Sometimes also written as: miller|dennis|hbo) 4. Include and exclude certain words:
+miller +dennis +hbo -special -washington
When #2, actually produces #3 results by mistake... it just will pointlessly list MILLIONS of useless mismatches.
When #2 isn't even available AT ALL... it pointless to even do a search.
When #4 isn't available... it is totally impossible to screen-out unwanted matches.

Downloaded torrents different color in Browse/Search

I use Browse a lot and would like to be able to see if I had previously downloaded a file, like it would be a different color than torrents that I had not downloaded. This would be helpful in situations where I am looking for a better copy of a movie and don't want to download the same torrent twice. I realize I can see my download history for my account but it would be neat to be able to tell the difference while I am using the BROWSE tab. Thanks.

Highres category

My suggestion would be a higres category for example movies, tv shows etc. Here there should be BRRIP, HDDVD rip, HDTV and so on, insted of searching for 720p, 1080p, mkv, mp4...
It would be a more specific search machine, than the one there already is.

Add username to search criteria

I would like to search for a username and only get results from this user.
E.g. A user uploads a radio show every week. I would like to generate an RSS feed from these torrents.
I search for: "My Wonderful Show user:root"
or simply "My Wonderful Show root"

Audio/Video rating in TV shows

Add Audio/Video rating to TV shows like in torrents from "Movies" category. TV shows are movies too, but little one, let us rate them. :-)

Generally the helpful comments get more positive feedback, so why not tweak the algorithm to bump those ones up near the top and the negatively rated comments to the bottom. If its worth your time reading through a few comments, a feature like this could save a lot of frustration.

Torrent Requests

I observed that users have no option for requesting any torrent other than putting their request in the comments. Not sure if any uploaders even see them.
We can have a new menu item named "Request Box" for all users logged in. Users can place requests for any torrent they would like to have (which is currently not available or has no proper seed count or any other meaningful reason).
The requests can be sent as messages to some highly reputed uploaders like 3li, Secretmyth, HDlite etc(you can select them based on their user achievements)..Thereby we can have a chance that these guys could see those and upload if possible.
Items in request box could be made public so that any user could go to their request box and upload if they have any of them.They can paste their upload link in the comments which would make it even easier to know that someone has responded.
Hope this works.......

Sub-categories when browsing

There should be the option for sub-categories for most torrents. For example, each movie should have two simultaneous types of categories; genre and file quality. This way you can search for action movies in standard definition, 720p or DVDR format. Within DVDR you could filter based on NTSC or PAL.
MP3s could similarly be sorted based on bitrate. At the very least there should be lossless and non-lossless categories.
There should also be categories for e-books and audio books like: fiction, self-help, college text book, Science, Math, humor, etc.

Sorting For Subscribed Uploaders' List

I want to share my views about improving Followed Uploaders list in subscriptions.
On this Followed uploaders page uploaders are sorted randomly or in a way I cant understand.This idea is useful for users subscribing many uploaders.
Now,I wish to make these improvements :
For example :
I am following yify,piratepedia and sam.
Yify's last upload was 1 hour ago,Piratepedia's was 2 hours ago and sam's was 3 hours ago.
Then,
those uploaders should be automatically sorted as
1.yify
2.piratepedia
3.sam
Imp Note :When sorting my way,only last upload of a uploader should be considered(last 5 uploads of 1 uploader are displyed).

Still there is no option for changing the color for status update in profile !!!
its available only in white color(colorless)!! also add 'center' option too, as people prefer in keeping the status updates/images in center of their profile .

Status of verification request

I think it would be useful for users to have the "Verify me as an uploader" link turn in to a message that says something like "Under consideration for Verified Uploader" (and to disable the message that shows up at the bottom of the upload page). This way they know their request has been received and they also know if they're still in the queue. If they get denied you could maybe change the link to a message that says "Reapply for verified uploader in __ months", etc.

Minimum System Requirements For Games !

There are so many game torrents in which the up-loader has not given the system requirements in the description which in-turn makes difficult to a user to find out that this game will run/not-run on her/his system !
Even i have founded so many threads in which users has asked that this game will run on my PC or not....etc .
So What if the system requirements is given by default in the main page .

Request Reseed

For verified uploaders posting directly to KickAss that want to help maintain the health of the torrents they've uploaded (like me), have a tab users can click on each torrents main page to send a "RESEED REQUEST", either by PM, Wall Post, or e-mail (option of which can be set by user in USER CP). To prevent abuse, have it allow only one reseed request to be sent per torrent every 72 hours and maybe notify when the last request was sent or gray-out the tab until 72 hours have passed. Take a look at the button I've added to MY torrents for a demonstration (sends e-mail with hash).
