Email alert for i.e. TV series

 in Site Mechanics, Design and Development

Its annoying to have to think of looking up regularily/weekly for the next episode available.
Or you even forget about it.
This is the idea of a comfortable way to watch the next episode.
I think its kinda the subscribing thing you already offer, but its not like following one guy, but a series.
Every week/time a new episode is available you should get an email with the weekly new torrents for that series or all series you "follow"/favorite/whatever.

I don't want to get all Facebook but, go add a notification tab when a new episode is released!

the idea needs a little tweak, combine it with the other "already downloaded" idea, so you can eliminate an episode from the listing ins subscriptions


or at least have it in colors, one color for downloaded, one color for incoming / soon, and one for regular

or a small symbol next to the torrents if we're worried about color blindness

because honestly, I don't check my mail very often, but I'd immediately notice a message here on KAT or a color change or symbol would grab my attention to episodes

Good idea, but I never check my email.
What about a pop-up that opens when you visit Kat in conjunction with bookmarked series. Already downloaded episodes are registered anyway (makes keeping track so much easier). So whenever a new episode is released, make a pop-up open with a list of new relaeses that you can check(box) using most frequently used uploader as a guideline. Most people following a series use the same UL every week anyway.
Just my 2 cents.

It is a great idea, specially for those people that watch alot of series. Since we mostly have a list outside kat, where we have release dates on and so on. Would be awesome if KAT, were able to give one a heads up so we dont have to spend hours of time just to find out all when the new releases come, and then find them here or on another site and then post it here :)
Anyway in sort we love the idea, and we are more than sure that if this is made possible All members of isohunt and piratebay and so on will move here :)
