hi. first of all your PS3 must have a CUSTOM FIRMWARE. I recommend you use 3.55 KMEAW.
Before anything else, if your current firmware is above 3.55 (3.56 up) forget it.

STEP 2
First you must have an external HDD. then format it to FAT32 (I recommend using EASEUS Partition Master 8.0.1 Home Edition for that.
After formatting the HDD to FAT32 it is ready to use.
Create a folder in root directory of your external HDD, name it "GAMEZ" then copy what you have downloaded in that folder.
Connect the HDD to your PS3 via USB. open backup manager (GAIA, multiman, etc w/c ever you have) then you'll see the game. it's up to you if you want to copy the game or not in internal hdd.
**note that some games require Bluray disk inside the PS3 (any game) to be able to play some games..
