Description
In 1988, at the height of their US success, lead singer Clark Datchler left Johnny Hates Jazz, claiming he didn\'t like the way his band mates were re-working and reinterpurting the songs he wrote. Phil Thornalley (Bass Guitarist for The Cure starting in 1982) became the new lead singer of Johnny Hates Jazz. With Phil on lead vocals, the group released the single \'Turn the Tide\' in 1989. In 1991, Johnny Hates Jazz released the album \'Tall Stories\' With Phil, not onnly as the lead singer but also as the main songwriter. The earlier single \'Turn the Tide\' was not included on the release. A month before the release of Tall Stories, the band was involved in a serious car accident which left keyboardist Calvin Hayes in a body cast for over a year. With one member out-of-commission and the lack-luster success of their second album, the group split and went their separate ways.
I have added the \'Turn the Tide\' single and remix, taken from their greatest hits release, to this torrent as bonus tracks. This album is very rare and out-of-print so, if you are downloading it, then please think of all the others like you and please seed this for as long as possible. Even if you burn it to CD, leave the files on your computer in the original download location...it doesn\'t take up that much room afterall. ryboi Sharing WidgetTrackers
