Een dierenbeschermer verhuist samen met zijn gezin naar Lake Placid, waar ooit dodelijke krokodillen mensen aanvielen. De lokale bewoners beweren dat de krokodillen weg zijn, maar dan begint het jonge zoontje met het voeren van een paar baby-krokodillen. Het duurt niet lang voor ze volwassen zijn en al snel beginnen ze het gezin, maar ook de lokale bewoners, aan te vallen.
