Left 4 Dead No-Steam Patch 1.0.0.9 Protocol 38

It includes:
- All binaries, maps, textures etc. that has been changed by Valve
- The REVOLUTiON Emulator v9.60b - All credits go to the REVOLUTiON Crew (www.rev-crew.info)
- Modified left4dead.exe by shmelle to accept and load the emulator
- Additional UI files from 1.0.0.9 to fix text and font elements for the great Skullptura client (now it looks exactly like the Steam version)
- No installer

You don't need to use my previous 1.0.08 patch if you're using this one.

What works:
- Single player mode
- LAN mode via console connect
- Online mode on no-steam servers

What does not work:
- Steam Cloud (obviously)
- Server browser
- Avatars
- Lobby matchmaking system
- Achievments
- Playing on Steam servers (it never will)

Notes:
Most of the not working stuff is caused by the great emulator that is still in development.
These features currently work only on Steam.

Testing:
I tested this package mostly on the Skullptura client because that is the primary target. It still
should work with other clients though. I found no problems except for the above mentioned ones.

Very important:
It's not possible to connect to outdated servers with this new version. The number of updated servers
is growing, be patient. It may be wise to keep 2 versions of the game on the same computer so you
have a client for all servers.

Installation instructions:
- Create a backup of your whole game! (To connect to old servers and in case something goes wrong)
- Extract the archive to your game directory (where left4dead.exe is located) and overwrite everything
- Open rev.ini in Notepad and edit your player name (!DefaultPlayerName!), leave everything else
- Launch the game via left4dead.exe
- If the game asks about Steam Cloud, disable it (uncheck the box)

Uninstallation instructions:
- Delete your game folder
- Restore your backup :)
