Description

Okay, so for those people who want to install Mac OS X Lion solely in VMware, this is the trick for you. Simple attach the .vmdk as a secondary Hard Drive to the VM, boot up, then install. Then unattach the .vmdk and you're good to go.

Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization. To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports hardware virtualization.
Any solution?

Yeah, none which is able to be disclosed right now as it's buggy and I don't wanna be held responsible for screwing up your PC.
See if you have VT turned off in your BIOS, if you do, enable it.

i started it up and it was working fine, showing the little apple symbol. However, soon the apple symbol went away and my cursor turned into the loading rainbow thing. Then, nothing. The rainbow cursor was still spinning but nothing happening. and suggestions?

Some hints to install on Virtual box?
Snow leopard works great, but with lion i got an error on boot:
(something like) " not supported for this platform... only 32bit cpu".
I got Intel Core 2 duo T7250 with hardware virtualization activated (infact Leopard works perfectly).

I had no problems with windows7, 64bit intel quad core, 8 gig memory lappy, VM workstation 8.1 all went well just following these instructions. sound and share files, and tools all good!! set 4 gig memory and 1 core for VM and all is stable w/ all updates installed
just read and follow instructions and it will work!!
