Shayne Thomas Ward [born October 16th 1984 in Clayton, Manchester] is an English pop/R&B singer and songwriter, who was discovered on the second series of UK singing competition The X Factor. Since his 2005 win, Ward has gone on to sell records globally, having success in parts of Europe, as well as becoming a major success in Asia. As of 2008 Ward has sold over 1 million records worldwide with 600,000 of his debut album having been sold in Asia and around 980,000 of both albums in the UK.



'No Promises' was the first single released from Shayne Wards' self-titled album. It was released on April 10th 2006. The song reached No.2 in the UK Singles Chart and No.4 in the UK Official Download Chart. The single was the UK's sixteenth best selling single of 2006. The video for the song was shot in Los Angeles, with Allie Candrell an 18yr old model.
