We are normally not in the habit of writing long

winded NFOs but for this release we felt it was

necessary to explain some things.



1) This series contains a massive amount of archival

footage obtained from different sources. Some in

black & white, some in color, some in 23.97 fps,

some in 29.97 fps. A true hybrid in every sense

of the term. We encoded all episodes as 29.97 fps

to maintain consistent playback without stutter.



2) Due to the archival footage mentioned in 1,

there is a large crop deviation from segment to

segment. We have cropped as best we could without

completely destroying the intended aspect ratio.



3) The DVD boxset was mastered with three audio

tracks (DTS, AC3 5.1, PCM). The inclusion of the

unnecessary and space hogging PCM track meant the

overall average bitrate for each episode had to

lowered. The video quality could have been much

superior. This is reflected in our encode.



The Beatles Anthology series is THE definitive

documentary about the greatest band as seen through

the eyes of John, Paul, George, and Ringo.
