Tom Rowland és Ed Simons duója, a Manchesterből indult Chemical Brot-
hers azon elektronikus tánczenei formációk közé tartozik, amelyek
kvázi rockzenekarként működnek: albumokat készítenek, turnéznak,
fesztiválokon lépnek fel, no és a rock/alternatív közönség is elfo-
gadja őket.

A zenéjében a pszichedelikus rockot, a bombasztikus ritmusokra épülő
bigbeatet és az acid house-t ötvöző Vegytestvérek immár egy évtizedes
sikeres karriert tudhatnak maguk mögött, amit most egy kislemezválo-
gatással és DVD-vel ünnepelnek. Az előbbi érthetetlen módon hiányos,
az utóbbi viszont teljes antológia, és a páros négy eddigi albumának
mind a tíz klipjét tartalmazza az 1995-ös Life Is Sweettől a listave-
zető Setting Sunon és a Grammy-díjas Block Rockin` Beatsen át a vado-
natúj The Golden Path-ig. A videókat olyan nagyágyúk jegyzik, mint
Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Walter Stern, Wiz és Dom&Nic, akik szabad
kezet kaptak ötleteik és önmaguk megvalósítására, így a Chemical
Brothers egészen kivételes és sokszínű klipográfiával bír, benne né-
hány forradalmian zseniális darabbal (Elektrobank, Let Forever Be,
Star Guitar).
