Movie presentation is okay. Rate audio lower than video- it has occasional sound flutters that disrupt the flow of conversation, and this is a dialog-driven movie: A/7 V/8. Subtitle file offers only fragments of dialog. If you do not speak Spanish, you'll miss some of the context and content. Could locate only one subtitle file that is close to being complete, with only minor lapses. This can be found on various subtitle websites (AllSubs.org) as the only English file titled under the Spanish spelling, as "Angel extermindor El (1962) DVDRip 25fps 1CD srt EN [DivX FOREVER].zip."
As for the movie being "...meaningless...," this is Surrealism, and so must be expected to be challenging to the senses. There is very good reason it is considered one of the best Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror movies of all time. Also, in that same genre, be sure to check out Buneul's first film, co-directed with lifelong friend, Salvador Dali-the ultra-iconic "Un Chien Andalou" (1928). It contains some of SF's-if not all Filmdom's- most abiding, memorable images, something no budding fimmaker ought miss seeing, especially in its full-length form.
