Led and dictated by the inimitable curmudgeon Mark E. Smith,

The Fall's 27th studio album sees a return to an entirely

British line-up of the band after American musicians dominated

the previous 'Reformation Post TLC' record. In keeping with

Smith's now-legendary demeanour, the factory-like production

of this release sees the whole band share writing credits. The

songs themselves retain the same gloomy and sarcastic rhetoric

(including a cover of 'Strange Town' by The Groundhogs) and

are Mark E. Smith through and through - bitter, sardonic and

ruthlessly entertaining.
