Note: A version of this show went into circulation in November,



2001 as part of a larger set put out by The Archival Group Tree



marking the 30 year anniversary of the closing of the Fillmore West.



The lineages of that set seem a bit suspect to the ear (plenty of



hiss and lo-fi quality for something saying it is from master reels),



plus it was a bit of a hack job in its assembly (large level



discrepancies between sources, SBEs at every track ID, etc..).



That version also mentions four missing songs at the opening.



However, this new version provides the Bill Graham intro running



directly into the first song, "Workingman's Blues," with no tape



splice. So, this missing song issue is debatable. This version here is



sourced off of different reels, and while the quality is not *A*, it



may be found to be a more enjoyable version of the show to the



ear. A few of the tracks from this date circulate (SBD) on the



official re-release of the Riders debut LP.
