DescriptionMP3 - 192 Kbps - FHG Codec This album is "the best of" from 1968 to 1971, it includes all hit singles and B sides. The Zoot (feat. Rick Springfield, Daryl Cotton and Beeb Birtles) were Australia's superband of the era. Driving guitar rhythms and british influenced pop/rock vocals formed the basis of their slightly heavier style repetoire. The pink jumpsuits were a bit "out there" though, causing much ridicule and abuse from fellow musicians (refer track 13 "Hey Pinky") but the music has become a significant part of Aussie rock history. If you are not familiar with the band, go straight to the grunty cover version of The Beatles "Eleanor Rigby" and you'll get the general idea. Rick Springfield went on to enormous solo success in the USA, Daryl Cotton continued a solo career and other ventures in Australia and Beeb Birtles became a founding member of The Little River Band. Remember......Think Pink, Think Zoot (The bands' motto). Enjoy, and please seed. Cheers DeeMac Sharing WidgetTrackers
