Sinópsis:
Su acción transcurre en la estación aeronaval Miramar, de San Diego, que se estableció en 1969 para seleccionar y adiestrar al uno por ciento de los mejores pilotos de la Marina de guerra estadounidenses. Narra la instrucción de los pilotos en esta escuela, al tiempo que desarrolla una romántica historia de amor a cargo de una instructora de Top Gun, y uno de sus estudiantes.
