If you want to keep your media player, download something like k-light codac pack. If you are willing to try another media player, give VLC a shot. It is reliable, imho. If your trouble is not one of those issues, you might want to check the .avi integrity by comparing its expected file size to its actual file size. Checking for errors thrown by your torrent client, restarting your torrent client and restarting your computer are also good default troubleshooting steps. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Hope that helps. I normally read the comments on the KAT page to judge a movie. Obviously be aware that some comments are bs, but its a nice check imho. Not sure of another large movie rating site besides IMDB and RT, sorry. ghsfr33d0m 		2 years
Also, Googleing your exact error and the program name that glitched is always a good starting point for debuging.

Are you having trouble downloading the .torrent file hosted on KAT or the movie files with your torrent client, like Deluge or utorrent? May want to check your firewall settings, proxy settings, or port use settings.

Are you using a torrent client like utorrent or Deluge to open the .torrent file hosted by KAT here? Are you allowing your torrent client to fully download the movie? Are you opening the .avi file with a fully functional media player and codac pack? May want to try VLC media player, I have found capable of opening nearly all media perfectly. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Have you downloading the movie correctly, by allowing a torrent cilent like utorrent or Deluge to fully dl the files? Maybe check the file sizes, to make sure they match the size of the full, correct download listed on the main torrent page. If all of that is correct, it is very likely that your media player + codacs are not working well. The quickest solution is to just get VLC. It is reliable, imho. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Might want to just not burn it to a DVD, to save yourself the trouble. VLC is the very reliable, imho. If you are not using that and you are having video issues with this .avi, might want to give VLC a try. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

"Yes it's relative to your browser. Try to clean the browser cache. And download the .torrent to your hard disk ("save as") and open it with uT instead of opening it directly with the browser." 		2 years
Most helpful thing I have found so far: "Its nothing related to your torrent client or tracker ; its ur web browser causing cache issues. Download the torrent file to ur pc & then open in utorrent ; instead of opening from browser. If that doesn't fix it ; change to a different browser and try the same." 		2 years

So shuck, are you saying you used the link pointed out by viny@cool to download the small .torrent file on KickAssTorrents, and then normally utorrent takes over and you download your files? And in this case, utorrent did not start downloading the files because the .torrent file from KAT seems to be broken? If I am understanding you correctly, can you give exactly the error message you are getting, the program giving the error message, and a description of how the error was presented to you, the user? Fortunately, there is plenty of storage space and bandwidth for everyone. :) An advantage of torrent communities is the diverse groups they allow to form and help to nourish, in one way, by allowing cultural interaction independently of geographic location. KickAssTorrents is not America, just as it does not try to extended American society. Irrational intolerance should not be tolerated by any thinking individual, and I do not believe it to be tolerated here at KAT. ghsfr33d0m

Did you let it finish downloading fully before attempting to load the file? Are you using a decent and updated media player, like VLC? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

This same message is at least one torrent, suggesting this person is not just spamming here, but possibly all over KAT. Is it possible to block IP of anon spammer? Might be a good idea..

I think that info is taken from IMDB's API, or something similar. The IMDB link is wrong, but I think that is something setup by KAT automatically, not the uploader. //not sure about any of this, just educated guesses.
