same is the case with me......
initially i installed the game on windows 7 x64....it ran perfectly games for windows live came up on pressing home key and i could create a local profile....iu completed the game till 70 % then i decided to upgrade to windows 8 x64 and after that i reinsatalled but this time not able to get games for windows live on pressing the home key........damn it!

Update: i installed this version of live http://download.gfwl.xboxlive.com/content/gfwl-public/redists/production/xliveredist.msi as mentioned above by Ashley_almeida and problem solved.
As for that error you people are getting (the one mentioned in screenshot), that can be eliminated by running the game using the BatmanAC_o.exe. don't use the BatmanAC.exe.
