Thanks for the shout out. Link me to the code, and I'll take a look.
Also, there may be another idea to, like coding the third party patcher called Universal Theme Patcher, to work with windows 8.
It hasn't fallen yet. If everyone joins this push, maybe it will become part of kat's servers and website officially. Come on people, if you love kat radio, join the fight to save it! Its not too late!
I took the liberty of messaging an admin. Here is the message word for word.
hello mr smoke. these days its not often i get involved in certain aspects of the site because my time is very limited. but in the case of kat radio i feel its my duty to as a former staff, out of respect for what kat radio has accomplished with the site and its community.
my request is a simple one. i need you and the highers to convince the wizards to migrate it to kat servers and make it part of the main site. i feel its too far along and too important to kat to be lost now due to financial troubles. i feel it would also instill a sense of unity between the wizards and the members of kat, because it would show the members that the wizards really do care about them and want them to enjoy everything kat has to offer. it is my sincere hope that this message wont go ignored.
with respect and grattitude,
Sorry, although I must correct you there. They started out doing that, yes, but are now widely known as an activist group. The information they exposed about the police for example, yes may have been too over the top, but this is what those police were guilty of:
1. They were violently and unlawfully attacking unarmed citizens simply for invoking their right to free speech.
2. They used excessive force, and made no effort to explain it
3. They pepper sprayed peaceful protesters
The fact is, when a country gets tired of tyrants behind a badge, or tyrants behind official office positions, they also get tired of no one doing anything to stop it. In a world where there are few heroes, it births vigilantism. Don't get me wrong here, I am not condoning putting their personal addresses and such over the Internet, but my anger as an American watching peaceful Americans get abused by police officers merely for acting within their rights, ruined it for me. So while I respect your position regarding the group, I support them because they are just trying to fight back the only way they know how. I dont agree with everything they do, but I respect that they are trying to fight back, and they are actually striking fear into these cold hearted assholes! That is a feet in and of itself is it not?
I respect your opinion and the fact that you see me as uninformed. The fact is I am very much informed, this blog was more based on my personal feelings, not so much as it was facts. I respect your stance, I just wish you didn't have to be a dick about it.
