Confirmed:
copy installed earlier today with no issues.
The usual issues with drivers, so as has been mentioned in another user's comment, make sure you have downloaded the drivers you need from and pop them on a USB drive, or separate partition, before fresh installing Windows.
I ran windows update as soon as this copy had finished installing, and all updates have installed ok.
Oh, and yes, this copy has got service pack 1 integrated!

what should i do for connecting it to projectors or using smart cards.. i use an ASUS 1015px.. is it enough that i install drivers..

This installed very nicely on my acer netbook without any real problems outside of outdated and missing drivers. If you are going to install this then I would recommend downloading your drivers prior to install and putting them on a usb drive. The windows loader (basically the crack for windows) is flagged as a virus but it is not and is necessary to fully activate your windows install. On a side note I would recommend doing a custom install as this comes with a lot of programs that are really not needed. To those that do not know how to install the OS all you need is a utility called Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool that you can obtain directly from microsoft. Run the tool, point it to the contained iso in this download and have it dumped onto a flash drive that is empty with a minimum of 4 gb of space. At this point you can either open up the flash drive from your desktop and run the setup.exe or you can configure your bios at startup to read from usb by changing the boot order. Google is your friend in this situation, just follow instructions.

Nevermind my previous statement, windows has flagged it as a pirated copy and barred me from updates. Either way I will install updates manually but for those who rely on automatic updates this copy of windows is not for you. Still a good copy but flawed depending on how you look at it.

All you have to do is run the included windows loader and it will activate it for you without problems.

only problem i can find is
this is supposed to have sp1 embedded
windows update asks to install sp1 but fails with components missing
I have deleted the database for updates but still asks to install sp1 so i just hide it for now

Without running the windows loader after installation you can not update windows. You must run the loader to allow it to verify your install, then you can update. I think I had 85 updates after verification so yeah it is an old copy.
